Company Profile

In 2001, Euromedic entered the state of Romania, offering the Ministry of Health and the National Health Insurance Fund the establishment of Diagnostics and Dialysis Centres, which would operate under the PPP Euromedic Concept: Public – Private Partnership.

The negotiations with the National Health Insurance House took almost a year. The National Health Insurance House was determined to make sure that taxpayers’ funds would not be spent without any proper benefit for the state. We had to commit to the highest international medical standards, efficiency and state-of-the-art technology.

Only when the last proof was presented regarding the benefits for the public, was the contract signed.

The Romanian Ministry of Health requested that Euromedic build its first Centre in the City of Arad where the lack of modern medical facilities made it most needed. The first Euromedic Imaging Diagnostic Centre was inaugurated on the 18th June, 2001.

But this was not a stop sign for the entrepreneurial style of Euromedic management. In November 2003, Euromedic opened its second Imaging Diagnostic Centre in the city of Constanta.

followed in September 2004 by the Imaging Diagnostic Centre in Petrosani.

In December 2004, we opened the biggest Imaging Diagnostic Centre in Romania, located in Bucharest-Fundeni.

In all the aforementioned activities, my role was to shoulder the full responsibility of making everything happen. I had to lead the development process from receiving the approvals, obtaining the land, construction, medical equipment, and manpower, to run-off.

Teams

I have created a strong and performant management team, by implementing an management reporting system, investigating regular meeting sessions and team buildings. Total number of employees under my management as President of Euromedic Romania: 300.

In the beginning of 2006, I moved to the HQ of Euromedic International in Budapest, assuming the position of Vice President Business Development.

My activities were split on the following directions:

  • Development of the company in new countries – Bulgaria and Italy – by creating penetration channels, business and political connections, studying the local laws etc.
  • Development of the company’s existing presence in countries by acquiring other diagnostic and/or dialysis centres (Greece and Turkey) through market research, negotiations, establishing legal grounds, for due diligence and purchase.
  • Adapting and domesticating newly bought Euromedic Centres to full-operation capacity, in the countries where the company bought fully-functioning medical centres (the Czech Republic, Greece and Turkey).
